| Descrizione e contenuto | Evangeliario bizantino proveniente dal monastero del SS. Salvatore di Messina. La sezione principale del codice, occupata quasi per intero dai quattro vangeli sinottici (ff. 17-367), è stata esemplata intorno al XII secolo da due amanuensi dell’Italia meridionale, probabilmente a Messina. I primi due fascicoli (ff. 1-16) sono stati aggiunti probabilmente dopo la metà del XIII secolo, e contengono varie formule di giuramento e testi liturgici, inclusa una formula matrimoniale in volgare siciliano (f. 1). |
| Description and contents | Byzantine gospel book transcribed in the Santissimo Salvatore monastery in Messina. The main section of the codex, occupied almost entirely by the four synoptic gospels (fol. 17-367), was transcribed around the 12th century by two scribes from southern Italy, probably in Messina. The first two fascicles (ff. 1-16), probably added after the mid-13th century, contain various oath formulas and liturgical texts, including a marriage formula in the Sicilian vernacular (f. 1). |
